La noche de San Juan. On the night of the 23rd of June, to celebrate the arrival of summer with bonfires, music and parties on the beach, and for who dares, with a midnight dip in the Atlantic waters.

El Festival de Zahara. Zahara’s festival, takes place in the market area, inside the Almadraba’s walls. It started in 2009 and is celebrated every year in July. Shows are performed by national artists and groups.

Velada de la Virgen del Carmen. A festivity held in early summer on July the 16th, with a procession at sea in honor of the patron saint of Zahara, that ends up with music, food and celebrations.

La feria. Despite Zahara is in perennial celebration during the summer, the first week of August is dedicated to the feria. Music, fireworks, dances, games and events of various kinds, for the whole family.


Zahara de los Atunes is a fishing village, like its name says here the star is bluefin tuna, the Atun rojo.

The Atun rojo de almadrada, the bluefin tuna which is caught in these waters is considered the best in the world, that’s why most of the catch is sold to the Japanese market. The Atun rojo in Zahara is a dish that you cannot miss, it's just delicious.
