Vejer de la Frontera, in the province of Cadiz, stands on a hill not far from the Costa de La Luz shore. It’s a beautiful village with whitewashed houses and narrow streets climbing up and down the hill to end up in picturesque squares.

Vejer it's the tip of a triangle that also includes Caños de Meca and Conil, and has an incredible viewpoint that dominates the surrounding plains, the ocean and also the African coast.

The old town is really spectacular, full of life and culture, that’s why so many foreign artists live here, as they all say is impossible to leave this town. Vejer is in fact the typical place where you plan to stay for half a day, and then actually end up spending much more time than anticipated.

For five and a half centuries it has been dominated by the Moors and has suffered two reconquest attempts by the Catholic Troops of Castille. The main entrance of the Castle, part of the ancient city walls and few roads are the remains that testify this long historical period.

Today Vejer is an official white village and part of the Route of the Pueblos Blancos of Andalucia, with its maze of streets overlooked by wrought-iron balconies, always strictly adorned with flowers.
