The Salón del Caballo Andaluz. It's an exhibition / competition that displays the best purebred Iberian horses and is held in March.

The Feria de Mayo. Coin’s May festival is held between late April and early May, and is one of the town’s ferias; music, competitions, performances are part of the show.

The Feria de Agosto. The other Feria in Coin, is usually held on the second week of August. Food stalls, funfairs, and various events are displayed during the festival.

The Pilgrimage of the Fuensanta. A procession in honor of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of Coin; is celebrated in early June, and starts from the church of San Juan Bautista to end up in the Sanctuary.


Coin’s food is typical of the Andalucian region. During winter time the “puchero” is the traditional plate, a soup with meat, chickpeas and vegetables, and during the summer a good choice is the gazpacho (cold tomato soup with peppers, garlic, onion and bread).
