Coin is a town in the province of Malaga, which lies a little more than 30 km away, and is located inland in the Guadalhorce Valley, at a height of 200 meters above sea level.

Coin has been a Roman settlement, and you can still see the quarries for the extraction of marble, inheritance of these ancient times.
Like the rest of Andalucia, the town was also dominated by the Moors for many centuries, in this case until 1485, when the Castile’s troops were able to take control of the city during the last phases of the Catholic Reconquest.

Today Coin is a charming peaceful village, not far from busy Marbella and the Costa del Sol, which lives on tourism, but still manages to maintain its agricultural traditions thanks to its location.
