The Feria de San Antonio. Chiclana’s festival is celebrated in the middle of July and lasts a week. Women are usually dressed in their typical Sevillana costume and even the men are wearing their traditional Andalusian suit. Horse parades, performances, food and music light up the Feria.

The Festivity of San Juan. During the night of June 23, there’s a beach party with bonfires, music and food to celebrate the arrival of summer.

The Festivity of Nuestra Senora del Carmen. In honor of the Virgin of the fishermen, her image is carried in a procession at sea, which starts from the Barrosa beach.

The festivity of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios. It falls on the 8th of September, and is a celebration in honor of the patron saint of the Chiclana.


The white wine is without any doubt the best know product of Chiclana. It's a sweet white wine much appreciated as an aperitif and still processed in the traditional way.
 Chiclana is also part of the production area of the famous sherry wine of Jerez.

The food is typical Andalusian, with plenty of legumes, vegetables, rice, soups and fish.
