The Castillo de los Zúñiga. Cartaya’s Castle has a rectangular shape, with walls all around it. It was built in the early fifteenth century, by order of Pedro de Zúñiga, to defend the town from the pirates repeated attacks.

The Parroquial Church of San Pedro. It was built between 1500 and 1600, on the ruins of an old mosque.

Los Faros of El Rompido. There are two lighthouses on the beach of El Rompido. The first was built in 1861 and now it 's a cultural center, and the second, the more modern one, is still operating.

Los Pinares de Cartaya. It’s a park with thousands of acres of dense pine forest, divided into two sections. Here you will find two special types of mushrooms growing, the Nízcalos and the Gurumelos, very much appreciated and used in the local cuisine.
