The Plaza de Mina, The Mina Square. In the city center, surrounded by neo-classical buildings, also houses the Museum of Cadiz, with an interesting archeological exposition.

The Torre Tavira. The Tavira Tower. Dating back to the eighteenth century, was one of the 160 towers which dotted the city, a system to spot incoming ships. Once you climb up the tower you can access the darkroom, you'll enjoy a beautiful 360 degrees view of the city.

The Plaza de la Catedral. The Cathedral Square. The massive Cathedral overlooks this nice square, built between 1700 and 1800, it’s famous for its shiny golden dome, the real landmark of Cadiz.

El barrio de Santa Maria. One of the most poor quarters until the last century, is now full of life and is condidered the cradle of local flamenco new wave, with shows on display almost daily.

The beaches. Enjoy the big white sandy beaches of Cadiz, or explore the ones along the Costa de La Luz (Chiclana, Conil, Zahara, Tarifa).
