The Antequera Blues Festival, usually celebrated during the second half of July; in 2010 has reached its 23rd edition.

Noche Flamenca de Antequera, a flamenco night in August, it’s a free entry event and a showcase for new flamenco songwriters.

Festival barroco de músicas y comedias, is held in the month of July. Comedies and plays are performed in the streets and squares of Antequera.

The Real Feria de Agosto, Antequera’s festival, its origins date back to 1748. The event takes place in the middle of August, with fireworks, music, food and bullfighting.

Food
    
The Mollete from Antequera, a particular type of bread, round and flat, very common in all Malaga province.

The Porra, which is a type of cold gazpacho (tomato soup) that is served with tuna, ham and eggs.
